Role Overview: Manage sales activities for Bemis wholesale division designated region through manufacturer representatives and directly with wholesale distributors and product preference influencers. Implementation of sales programs to meet plan, increase market share, maintain the product image, and the brand recognition in the market. Specific Responsibilities: * This position will manage and direct manufacturer's representatives to achieve sales goals within assigned region for wholesale channel. * Secure the sales plan through regular travel & drive for results. Be actively engaged in the territory. * Champion short-term and long-term growth strategies as well as establish annual goals and objectives for territories within designated region in order to attain sales plan. * Hire, train, supervise and work with manufacturers' representatives. Provide quality feedback and evaluate agency performance on a regular basis. Develop improvement or replacement strategies for agencies that are not performing. * Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, T150 wholesaler distributors, contractors, designers, A&E community. * Solicit new business at all levels of distribution channel, including contractors, builders, plumbing counters, kitchen and bath showrooms. * Create demand and develop product specifications with major plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors, builders, designers, architects and mechanical engineers and others who influence specifications and purchasing * Attend on-site corporate meetings, participate in national, regional, and local trade shows as needed. * Analyze, implement, and coordinate budgets for expenses, customer development, and customer rebates and allowances. * Develop proficiency in use of company data systems to manage customers and reps performance. * Bring new ideas and best practices from the field to product management, new product development, and marketing as a means to support increasing the Bemis value equation within the industry. * Recommend pricing strategies to grow sales and operating profit. Manage the commercial quotation program for the region. * Supply input and strategies to compete with competitor's products, strategies, and pricing programs. * Complete reports, analyze sales trends, analyze the profitability and impact of new sales opportunities, interact with shipping, demand management, product development, marketing, manufacturing, engineering and customer service. * Prepare detailed call reports after each trip into the field. Utilize CRM to manage pipeline opportunities, manage contacts, and drive follow up * Other duties as assigned. * Education & Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in business or another related field. * Proven track record in a sales or sales management role. * Must geographically live with in designated region. * Minimum of 5 years experience with two-step distribution and working with independent distributors as well as managing manufacturer's reps to perform at their highest level with regard to both push and pull strategies within region. * Strong Business Acumen * Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. * Ability to work well in a team environment. * Technologically Saavy. Must be proficient in employing Microsoft 365 applications. CRM experience (salesforce) strongly desired. * Emotional Intelligence. Gain insight into customer needs. Effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. Pick up on situational cues and adjust at the moment. * Strong financial acumen in analyzing top-line growth, gross profit expectations, and productivity leverage with fixed budget parameters. * Ability to travel up to 50% consistently within assigned region.
