Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loan Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through the loan application process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of mortgage servicing, credit analysis, and loan processing to assist clients in securing the best financing options available. Duties * Review and analyze loan modification applications to assess borrowers' financial situations. * Negotiate with lenders to secure favorable loan modification terms for clients. * Facilitate short sale transactions by coordinating with homeowners, buyers, and lenders. * Prepare and submit necessary documentation to support loan modification and short sale processes. * Maintain accurate and up to date records of all client interactions and transactions. * Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to loan modifications and short sales. * Provide clients with clear explanations of their options and guide them through each step of the process. Skills * Strong mathematical skills, including basic math for calculations related to loans and interest rates. * Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance standards in the lending industry. * Experience in mortgage servicing and understanding of loan origination processes. * Proficiency in credit analysis techniques to evaluate borrower qualifications. * Familiarity with escrow processes and documentation requirements. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple loan applications simultaneously. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
