Full description of the position

Duties: - Greet customers and provide excellent customer service. - Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. - Resolve customer complaints and ensure a positive shopping experience. - Process returns and exchanges. - Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. - Serve coffee, fudge, pretzels and snow cones consistent with food handling requirements. - Answer customer inquiries and provide product information. - Receive and check in product deliveries. - Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management. - Maintain a high standard of merchandising. - Carry out daily housekeeping tasks to support a clean and safe environment. - Uphold strict standards around laws pertaining to sale of liquor, tobacco, lottery products, etc. - Carry out store opening and closing duties. Skills: - Strong organizational skills to manage cash register transactions efficiently. - Time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient checkout process. - Proficiency in operating a cash register and handling cash transactions. - Ability to assist with stock replenishment and maintain inventory accuracy. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills and a team player mindset. Experience: - Previous experience in customer service, retail inventory and cash management preferred.
