Group Sales and Marketing Coordinator Trail Drive Management Corp. - Dickies Arena of Fort Worth, TX Dickies Arena is a 14,000 seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena, opened in November 2019, hosts concerts, sporting events and family entertainment, and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Reports to:** Director of Marketing and Communications Job Description The Group Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for selling group tickets and group experiences for select events at Dickies Arena on behalf of Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The ideal candidate will be creative in their sales plan while also exhibiting exceptional customer service skills with the goal of growing revenue for the venue. The coordinator will also support the marketing team's efforts in promoting all the events at Dickies Arena from A to Z. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. * Responsible for establishing a solid group sales effort for TDMC, including developing new relationships within the business, schools and extracurricular communities in Fort Worth and surrounding areas * Establish event sales goals * Create new packages and themes for upcoming events to drive additional revenue * Work with promoters and Director of Marketing to develop group sales plans, LOAs and budgets for each event * Handle in-bound group sales calls * Make outbound cold calls to new potential partners * Manage the group sales software, Spinzo including creating pages, links, settlement, etc. * Manage regularly scheduled sales reports and communicate with marketing and finance departments * Create the group sale settlement and send to promoter for approval for the event settlement. * Ensure events are listed in the DFW event calendars among the press/media/blogs, etc. * Assist in maintaining media, press and promoter contact lists * Assist with media buys, promotions, and invoicing for events * Assist with organizing photos and other graphics as needed * Assist with creating email blast copy and "Know Before You Go" communication * Assist in developing sales materials with marketing team * Assist in maintaining the marketing closet * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Preferred Qualifications * College degree, preferably in marketing, communication, business or sports management * Minimum of 1-2 years of prior sales experience, preferably in sports and entertainment * Excellent customer relationship and service skills * Self-motivated and creative thinker * Strong written and oral communication skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize * Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Knowledge of Salesforce preferred but not required * Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends * Ticketmaster knowledge preferred but not required Physical demands While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will frequently operate a computer and other office devices such as calculators, telephones, copy machines, faxes and printers. Employee will constantly move about inside and outside various areas of the facility before/during/after events to interact with internal/external clients and supervise the work of employees during events. Employee must constantly communicate via telephone, email and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. Employee may occasionally be required due to business demands and event operations to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. As business, maintenance, operations or emergency situations require, employee may sporadically assist in lifting/moving 100 lbs. or more.
