JOB DESCRIPTION AJ Rental is an general construction equipment rental company seeking an energetic sales professional to build on the fast success AJ Rental has developed. The Sr. Outside Sales Representative is responsible and accountable for retention of existing customer base with continued sales growth. Source and grow sales with new business opportunities within Southern California. Extensive driving required. This is an account based sales position. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years' experience in construction rental equipment or related industry preferred * Valid Driver's License required REQUIRED COMPETENCIES - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and public speaking/presentation skills. Excellent organizational and computer skills. Must be a team player and possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Identify, prospect, and engage with new business opportunities in the local market * Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers * Understand customer needs and offer appropriate rental solutions from AJ Rental's diverse equipment portfolio * Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, delivering quotes, and following up on sales leads * Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. * Collaborate with the branch operations team to ensure timely delivery and return of rental equipment * Track sales activities and customer interactions * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions. ADDITIONAL JOB RELATED INFORMATION Basic knowledge and use of office equipment and PC skills.
