Within our expansive offerings, DLS Custom Automation is a distinguished division of McIver Engineering & Controls, specializing in the design and construction of custom machines and state-of-the-art automation solutions. McIver Engineering & Controls is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Professional to join our fast-growing company. We offer competitive compensation & benefits package combined with highly aggressive incentives. The Sales Account Manager (SAM) will develop our understanding of customers and their assets. The SAM will identify where our products, services and solutions add value. They will drive bookings to targets for the assigned accounts within the acceptable margins while contributing positively to our voice of the customer (VOC) scores by exceeding customer expectations. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: * Drive exceptional brand and buying experiences for all customers across multiple touchpoints - both digital and physical. * Able to bring existing or new business in a short cycle. * Travel 30%-50% (domestically) * Help implement and drive key performance indicators (KPI) that drive front-end success in proposal on time delivery (OTD), capture rate and bookings. * Build sustainable and mutually profitable relationships with customers characterized via survey results. * Proactively contact current and potential customers to educate them on our value-added services or products. * Understands the importance of maintaining the customer relationship management (CRM) system, i.e. internal or external, leveraging it to manage customer relationships and opportunities, including asset intelligence. * Proactively manages accounts for forecasting performance for PO timing, upselling forecasting, and risk profiles of clients. * Coordinate customer visits to existing customers during front end process for anyone included in the capture of an opportunity. * Provide the Project Managers with relevant asset and customer information for them to prepare proposals. * Support follow-up and initial triage for customer escalations above the Project Managers. * Ensure that all business activities are performed in compliance with the McIver Code of Conduct. * Adhere to all Company forms, work instructions and department procedures. * Other duties as assigned; some off-hour availability may be required. * Negotiate with customers and vendors on contracts as required to support operational needs as well as customers. QUALIFICATIONS: * A Bachelor degree specializing in Engineering, Sales, Project Management, or equivalent. * A minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing or capital equipment sales preferably in automation. * Individuals must have an ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with people at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in written form. * In addition, the ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance in a team-oriented work environment is mandatory. * Strong strategic account management skills beneficial * Computer knowledgeable with such programs as Windows, Excel, Word, MS Outlook, Adobe, etc. * Robotics, Synchronous, and A-synchronous general knowledge a plus. * Finally, people must be hands-on and must be able to meet deadlines for his or her responsibilities either directly or indirectly.
