Job Overview: We are seeking a results-oriented leader to manage District Sales Leaders and oversee and optimize our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations while working closely with our Independent Distributor network. This role is essential in driving operational excellence, leading teams through transformational change, optimizing route efficiency, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to our customers. The ideal candidate will bring strategic thinking, leadership expertise, and the ability to motivate teams and influence Independent Distributors within a dynamic distribution environment, as well as monitoring performance metrics and resolving operational challenges. Key Responsibilities Independent Distributor Collaboration: * Partner with Independent Distributors to enhance route performance, ensure customer satisfaction, and meet sales objectives. * Support the development of Independent Distributors by providing training on route management, order processing, merchandising, and handheld tools. * Act as a liaison to address distributor concerns, implement solutions, and maintain strong relationships that foster trust and collaboration. * Monitor distributor compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. * Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to provide distributors with promotional materials and support * Conduct regular meetings or check-ins with distributors to foster engagement and alignment with company goals Change Management: * Lead the design and implementation of change initiatives to improve DSD processes, adapt to market demands, and enhance operational performance. * Develop strategies to address resistance and ensure stakeholder buy-in across all levels. * Assess the impact of changes, monitor progress, and adjust plans to achieve desired outcomes. Route Efficiency: * Oversee and optimize route planning and scheduling to enhance productivity, minimize costs, and meet delivery timelines. * Analyze performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, labor utilization) to identify areas for improvement. * Leverage technology to streamline operations and adapt to real-time changes. Leadership and Team Development: * Manage, mentor, and inspire District Sales Leaders, and work with internal cross-functional partners, to achieve operational goals and uphold company standards. * Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. * Provide coaching and training to enhance leadership capabilities within the team and prepare high-potential employees for growth. * Operational Oversight: * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. * Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and supply chain teams to align DSD operations with broader business goals. * Develop and implement strategies to expand the distribution network and increase market share. Customer Focus: * Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement * Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to exceed service expectations. * Address escalated customer issues promptly and implement corrective action to ensure satisfaction. * Partner with customers and Independent Distributors on merchandising and display opportunities to grow revenue.
