Key Responsibilities Sales Tax Filing: * Prepare and file accurate sales tax returns for multiple jurisdictions on time. * Monitor filing schedules and deadlines to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Documentation & Record Management: * Maintain organized records of sales tax exemptions, certificates, and returns. * Create invoices, credit memos, and adjustments to resolve discrepancies quickly. Research & Compliance: * Stay up to date with current tax laws, rates, and multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements. * Investigate and resolve tax-related discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting. Audit & Reporting Support: * Assist with gathering documentation for sales tax audits. * Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and auditors in a timely and professional manner. Customer and Internal Department Support: * Address customer inquiries related to tax charges and exemptions. * Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate tax documentation and advice. What We 're Looking For Education: * High school diploma or equivalent (required). * Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred). Experience: * Previous experience in a tax, accounting, or administrative role is preferred. * Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional tax filing is a plus. Skills and Competencies: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * Clear and professional written and verbal communication. * Ability to collaborate across departments and support company goals.
