About the Role As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for and expected to: * Drive Results: Prospect new opportunities through self-generated leads, in-bound marketing leads and current client base and consistently apply exceptional salesmanship using consultative and solution-based selling techniques. * Conduct consultative discovery: Establish rapport while gathering key information from prospects and clients in order to deliver the best recommendation to fit their objectives and needed outcomes. * Sales Process & Product Expertise: Schedule and conduct discovery meetings, proposal overviews and solutions presentations to guide prospects and clients through our product * Internal Systems & Collaboration: Utilize internal business systems, such as Sales Force and SalesLoft to communicate with client and prospects, log notes and activities, create customer cadence and outreach flows, create standard proposals and customized service packages for clients; Actively contribute and work collaboratively with internal business partners (project managers, writers, editors) to execute and fulfill projects. * Closing: Achieve and exceed company and personal activity metrics and sales goals through prospecting, negotiations and overcoming objections. *Upsell & Client Retention: *Cultivate and maintain existing client relationships to promote value proposition, product usage, grow revenue and encourage renewals and growth with existing clients. * Reporting: Accurately and timely log all activity and forecast sales and opportunities within Salesforce. About You You are a fit for the Business Development Manager role if you have: * Experience in the PR, media or communications industries * Exceptional sales, communication, and organizational skills * Have 2+ years of sales experience, preferably within public relations or with an agency or publisher * Demonstrated top performance in prior roles * Excelled at winning new business in previous roles * Possess strong persuasion and negotiation skills * Strong relationship management skills and are client-service oriented * Ability to utilize CRM and other business systems to effectively support prospects, clients and internal partners; preference for SalesForce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Winmo, Seamless.ai and MS Office applications * Self-discipline and are a proactive, creative thinker with determination to meet and exceed goals *What 's in it for You: You will join our inclusive culture of best-in-class talent, where we are committed to your professional and personal growth.
