Job Purpose: Under general supervision, assist with the designing, consulting, and explaining of complex technical solutions. These include (but are not limited to): Managed IT Services, Managed Security Services, Cloud Services (MS Azure, Entra ID, SharePoint, Office 365), Infrastructure Systems (servers, firewalls, networking), Collaboration/VoIP Systems, and Backup & Disaster Recovery Solutions. Also attending client meetings where technical expertise may be required. Primary Responsibilities: * Engage with potential clients to assess their technical requirements and business challenges. * Create and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposals that showcase the value of the company's offerings. * Collaborate with the sales teams to tailor solutions to meet specific client needs, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities. * Provide pre-sales technical support throughout the sales cycle, including but not limited to, meeting with clients, answering client inquiries and addressing concerns about product functionality and compatibility, meeting with internal teams to develop realistic expectations and timelines, and traveling when necessary. * Train sales teams on the technical aspects of products or services, enabling them to effectively communicate benefits to clients. * Collaborate with clients to validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions. * Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including proposals, case studies and technical specifications. * Stay informed about competitors' offerings and market trends to effectively position the company's products or services. * Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's products or services and stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies. * Identify areas for improvement and communicate these issues as well as possible solutions to leadership. * Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of IT specialties, including networking, infrastructure, hardware, cloud (Azure & Office 365), information systems, data backups, etc. * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of business processes. * Strong ability to assess IT environments, identify gaps, recommend, design, and present solutions. * Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of document and collaboration tools in order to build effective scopes of work, presentations, and training materials. Ability to: * Understand complex solutions to decipher needed information. * Pay attention to detail, multi-task, and follow through. * Be a team-oriented, problem solver who takes ownership of work performed. * Continuing sales and engineering education. * Be organizational and meet tight deadlines. * Display strong verbal and written communication skills. * Display a strong passion for customer service. * Display highly developed interpersonal skills, with emphasis on collaboration, influencing and building strong, long-term relationships. * Proactively seek guidance but can also work independently. Education and Experience.*_Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying:_ * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or at least 8 years' experience in the technology field - technical certifications are a plus. * Preference will be given to previous experience that includes sales engineering. * Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and consultative sales skills. * Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
