Full description of the position

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Order Entry is responsible for the processing of orders and requests and basic Work Order scheduling per MRP system. The major duties and responsibilities are: 1. Process orders from Purchase Orders written-up by Sales staff and enters data into the computer at various stages of each order. 2. Receives sales order changes; performs necessary changes to orders and distributes change notices to Engineering and Production. Makes copies of blueprints and ECN's and distributes to appropriate personnel. 3. Compares confirming purchase order with purchase order received for write- ups; handles any necessary changes and attaches to original order. 4. Process Shop Work Orders based on Material Requirement Planning report. 5. Provides basic support on questions and information as required. 6. Programs reports nightly for next morning printing; collects and distributes. 7. Sets-up daily order acknowledgments for printing; separates and copies for distribution. 8. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
