Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will engage with customers, assist them in finding products, maintain plant material, and contribute to the overall success of the retail environment. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. * Maintain healthy and clean plants * Create floral bouquets and container plantings * Maintain knowledge of indoor plants, shrubs, annuals, perennials, trees, and florals to best assist customers * Operate cash registers efficiently, handling transactions accurately while ensuring a smooth checkout process. * Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing at all times. * Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the nursery, greenhouse, sales area and office. Qualifications * Previous experience in retail sales or plant environment is preferred but not required. * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. * Knowledge of plants * Experience operating cash registers and handling cash transactions is a plus. * A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. * Ability to lift 40 lbs and work outside Join us in creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers while developing your skills in a supportive retail environment!
