Job Title: Job Title: Sales Manager - MICE & SMERF Segments Location: Work from home. Remote position based in MINNEAPOLIS Job Type: Remote We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team at Arrowwood Resort. This position focuses on driving business from the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal) market segments. The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing relationships, and achieving revenue goals through strategic sales efforts targeted at the MICE & SMERF sectors. Key Responsibilities: * Market Development & Business Generation: * Develop and implement a sales strategy to capture MICE and SMERF market segments, including conferences, meetings, social events, and group bookings. * Conduct market research and identify potential clients, focusing on corporations, associations, government organizations, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. * Identify new business opportunities and build a solid pipeline through prospecting, networking, and attending industry events and trade shows. * Sales and Revenue Growth: * Achieve or exceed revenue targets for MICE & SMERF segments by converting leads into confirmed bookings. * Manage and grow existing client relationships, ensuring repeat business through exceptional service and understanding of client needs. * Prepare proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to the unique requirements of MICE and SMERF clients. * Customer Relationship Management: * Maintain close communication with clients throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. * Coordinate with the operations and event management teams to ensure smooth event execution and high client satisfaction. * Act as a liaison between clients and resort management to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. * Event Planning and Coordination: * Collaborate with the event planning and operations teams to create customized packages for MICE & SMERF groups. * Ensure all logistical and technical needs for meetings, conferences, banquets, and other group events are met. * Provide on-site support when necessary to ensure the successful delivery of events. * Market Analysis & Reporting: * Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities in the MICE and SMERF sectors. * Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management, tracking performance, opportunities, and achievements. * Utilize CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, and client interactions effectively. * Collaboration & Teamwork: * Work closely with the resort's marketing, catering, and operations teams to develop promotional materials and packages for MICE & SMERF segments. * Support the sales team in achieving collective targets and share insights on trends within the MICE & SMERF markets. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in the MICE & SMERF segments within the hospitality or resort industry. * Strong knowledge of event planning, group sales, and the specific needs of MICE & SMERF clients. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and hotel/event management systems. * Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
