Join the team at Army Barracks Newington. A specialty retail store with amazing hours. 10-6 everyday! We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused individual for a part-time Retail Sales Associate position. Our store specializes in military surplus items, airsoft guns and accessories, and tactical gear. We offer a diverse range of products, including clothing for men, women, and children, headwear, boots, gloves, camping gear, backpacks, knives, swords, and other novelty items. Store hours are 10-6 everyday. WEEKENDS ARE REQUIRED We take pride in creating a memorable shopping experience that keeps customers coming back and sharing their positive experiences. As a Retail Sales Associate, your responsibilities will include: * Warmly welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store. * Assessing and adapting to each customer's needs, making surprising recommendations, and providing demonstrations when appropriate. * Demonstrating good judgment in handling unusual requests or difficult customer interactions. * Responding to phone calls and emails in a pleasant and efficient manner. * Operating a cash register and POS system effectively. * Supporting the team by assisting with receiving, sorting, and stocking products. * Maintaining a pleasant and organized store environment. * Communicating effectively and coordinating with other staff members to complete daily tasks. Qualifications and Skills: * A knack for interacting with people and a genuine interest in learning about new products to share with customers. * Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer service is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. * Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays. * Must be at least 18 years old and able to stand for extended periods, lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs., and occasionally climb ladders. * Comfort in handling and discussing various weaponry, blades, and airsoft guns that are part of our inventory.
