Job Summary
: The primary responsibility of the Key Account Manager is to deliver on assigned initiatives, support the development of new business for the client, and build strong customer relationships between the key accounts for Epic and the retail division team. The position communicates the division merchandising plans to the retail team, including promotional plans and calendars, and new product launches. Success criteria for this position will be measured against overall business results in division vs. target and prior year, implementation of Key Account merchandising plans and new item launches, and the ability to develop vendor relationships.

Duties
Core Functions: Leadership & Management
- Supervise the retail teams assigned to each key client.
- Participate in the hiring process for the retail team.
- Provide performance feedback including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action as needed for the retail team.
- Complete performance reviews in conjunction with members of management.
- Partner with management on termination conversations regarding the retail team.
- Train members of the retail team according to the Company policies and procedures.
- Assign work to the retail team including scheduling and route management.
- Lead by example with a positive approach to retail marketing strategies to motivate the retail team's performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues between Epic and customer associates. Key Account Support
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Act as the main point of contact between key clients, manufacturers, and internal teams.
- Build client relationships with merchandising teams and account leadership to ensure division growth and profitability.
- Negotiate contracts with key clients and meet established deadlines for the fulfillment of each client's long-term goals.
- Develop a thorough understanding of key clients' needs and requirements and prepare customized solutions.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address and resolve any concerns of the clients. Pipeline Development
- Meet and exceed sales targets through prospecting new products and/or vendors.
- Develop and launch strategies to pursue new business opportunities. Sales Planning & Analytics
- Communicate and collaborate with advertising, design, marketing, sales, and logistics departments to ensure that key client's needs are met.
- Compile reports on account progress, goals, and forecasts for account teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and launch strategies utilizing a broad range of data metrics, tools, and analytics to identify opportunities and deliver insights to customers and clients. Other Administrative

- Lead and participate in all scheduled company meetings.
Education and Experience
:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, or marketing, finance, sales, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in key account management
- Ability to manage multiple clients.
- Strong negotiation and leadership skills
- Advanced understanding of sales principles and customer service practice
