Job Title: Sales Assistant Company: Componere Culinary & Events Location: Emeryville, CA Job Summary: The Catering and Event Sales Assistant provides essential support to the Director of Events and the sales team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the sales process. This role requires a highly organized, detail- oriented, and customer-focused individual with a passion for the hospitality industry. Responsibilities: Sales Support: * Assist the Director of Events and sales team with sales. * Prepare proposals. * Maintain and update the CRM system with client information, sales activities, and event details. * Prepare sales reports, presentations, and other sales materials as needed. Communication and Support: * Respond to client inquiries via phone or email in a timely and professional manner. * Provide information to clients about catering and event services. * Assist with client follow-ups and ensure clear communication throughout the sales process. * Gather client feedback and address any concerns or issues. * Maintain positive client relationships. * Help to ensure that event details are accurately communicated to all relevant departments. * Occasionally, provide on-site support during events. Administrative Tasks: * Organize and maintain sales files and records. * Process contracts, invoices, and payment information. * Handle incoming and outgoing email and correspondence. * Perform data entry. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is a plus. * Previous experience in a sales support or administrative role, preferably in the hospitality industry. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. * Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. * Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. * Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity CRM software. * Customer-focused with a commitment to providing excellent service. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * A positive attitude and a willingness to learn. * Must have reliable transportation.
