Job Title: Retail Sales Representative - Pool & Spa Chemicals Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Job Summary: The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right pool and spa chemicals, testing water samples, and providing expert advice to ensure proper water care. This role involves both sales and customer service responsibilities, helping to maintain a clean, well-stocked retail space. Key Responsibilities: * Greet and assist customers in selecting pool and spa chemicals and accessories * Test water samples and provide accurate treatment recommendations * Maintain knowledge of pool chemistry and product applications * Upsell related products and services based on customer needs * Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and handle transactions accurately * Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain a clean, organized store * Educate customers on proper chemical handling and storage * Assist with in-store promotions and seasonal product displays * Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred * Basic understanding of pool chemistry or willingness to learn * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Work Schedule: * Flexible availability including weekends and peak seasons (spring/summer) Compensation: * Hourly wage plus commission * Employee discount on store products Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week Shift: * Day shift Ability to Commute: * Alabaster, AL 35007 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Alabaster, AL 35007: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
