Perspective Applicants Must Have Sales Experience in the Adult Beverage (Alcohol) Industry. Please note, this is a primarily commission-based role. The salary range indicated is based on someone who is tenacious and applies themselves. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the sales and marketing of Company products in the East Bay Area in addition to direct sales to on premise and retail outlets. This position is responsible for interacting with the Company's suppliers and customers in the assigned territory, to keep abreast of new products, and to be educated on both current and new offerings. The position requires a self-motivated, organized, energetic, creative, ambitious person who can thrive in a demanding environment and be an ambassador of our brands. The JVS Territory Sales Representative is responsible for their relationships with accounts, their relationships with suppliers, their actions and behavior, their professionalism, the way they carry themselves, and their representation of the Company. Position Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Ability to consistently think outside of the box for new ways to achieve sales and marketing goals in varying local environmental challenges. * Consistently open new accounts in the market while nurturing and growing existing accounts. * Grow product diversity at accounts to ensure customers are aware of overall offerings from the portfolio and how they can meet the customer base. * Conduct Brand Training for customer sales force * Regularly attend on-premise promotional events (often held at night and on weekend) to oversee, assist, and evaluate the quality of the promotion. This can include groups up to 60 people and would require presentation skills for tasting seminars. * Escort suppliers that come to the market and scheduling these suppliers with events and work withs throughout the duration of their visit. * Conduct brand education and presentation to new accounts and key contacts in coordination with customer management. * Participate in trade shows and key events (often held nights and weekends) to showcase the JVS Portfolio and bring greater brand awareness to consumers and buyers. * Effectively market company products increasing sales and overall company profitability in assigned territory. * Mandatory attendance at all company meetings and training events is expected. * Provide effective and timely sales reporting including keeping account logs submitted to management so that the Company has concise records of performance in the market, this includes pictures and reports of bottles sold during demonstration events. * Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. Skills & Experience * Five years previous experience in the adult beverage (alcohol) industry * High school education (college degree preferred) * Clean Driving Record * Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions. * Ability to apply general math skills. * Flexibility to work extended hours as needed. * Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills * 1-3 years of related Sales Experience * Problem Solving * Ethical Conduct * Confidentiality Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Salesforce staff are exempt. The sales position focuses on in-store demos (both tasting & dry) as well as being available to meet with industry partners. Salesforce staff are required to work evenings and weekends as needed for in-store tastings and events. Employees are expected to be available at different times throughout the day to meet the needs of their industry partners and groups while also being available for trade promotional activities. Salesforce staff are allowed autonomy in their schedule so they can build the business in their market and develop relationships with business partners at the times that meet the needs of those they serve. Under California law, outside salespersons are exempt from overtime and minimum wage requirements, including time spent at mandatory meetings and trainings. Physical Demands & Working Conditions * Physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. * Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time, stand, and walk frequently. * Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl. * Exposure to a variety of environmental conditions: weather, temperature, lighting, and noise as determined by circumstances within the office and warehouse environments and in the establishments that you serve. Travel Travel is required for this position.
