Customer Service Associate Year round, full time winter, part time summer, non-exempt, hourly Salary range: $18.50 to $22.50 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our High Mowing team. This person will be responsible for processing incoming orders and for providing great customer service to our broad range of customers. The ideal candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, confidence in working as part of a team, and strong computer skills. Experience with farming, gardening, and/or food is highly desirable. This is a year round, full time winter, part time summer position. Responsibilities: * Receive and process incoming orders by phone, web or email * Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced office environment * Answer customer questions about our products and about growing in general * Learn and maintain proficiency in order-taking processes to ensure smooth fulfillment of customer orders * Become familiar with and knowledgeable about the varieties of vegetables, flowers, herbs, cover crops and supplies that High Mowing Organic Seeds offers. * Attend weekly sales and customer service meetings * Represent High Mowing Organic Seeds at tradeshows and conferences if necessary * Provide general support for the sales team, including data entry, filing, mail sorting and other duties as needed Qualifications: * Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly * Excellent customer service skills * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Strong organizational skills * Confidence in working as part of a team and capacity to carry out individual tasks without intensive supervision * Willingness to ask questions and respond constructively to feedback * Ability to adapt to change and thrive within a rapidly growing small business * Experience with farming, gardening, and/or food highly desirable * Sense of humor and positive attitude. This is a Year-round position. Hours will vary based on the season: full time winter, and part time summer. In-person preferred, but Hybrid or Remote potential for the right candidate.
