Full description of the position

Job Description: The prospective candidate must possess the ability to identify and engage new clients through prospecting, conduct cold calls, facilitate site tours, and proficiently draft and negotiate contracts. Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate motivational skills to inspire the sales team to emulate this enthusiasm. A willingness to engage with local tourism associations is essential. The candidate should allocate a substantial portion of their time to direct sales activities, which will include but are not limited to outside sales calls, property tours, and responding to all Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The individual will consistently pursue the development of new business opportunities. They will assist the hotel in meeting or exceeding assigned revenue goals, which encompass, but are not limited to, the following categories: Rooms, Food and Beverage, Meeting Room revenue, Incremental sales, and the Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) Index. Additionally, the candidate will actively participate in the budgeting process, forecasting, and management of expenses to fulfill organizational expectations. The role involves conducting Sales Audits to ensure the accuracy of information within the property management systems, sales and catering software systems, and general reporting mechanisms. The candidate will be responsible for training sales managers in soliciting existing and new clients, encouraging additional business, and securing repeat bookings. Active participation in yield management meetings and involvement in weekly sales meetings and all hotel-related meetings as summoned by the General Manager are necessary. The candidate will be expected to develop special sales activities and promotions, monitoring the return on investment associated with these initiatives. Furthermore, it is vital to ensure that the property maximizes the utilization of all company, brand, and local Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) programs. The candidate will conduct comprehensive market analyses for the hotel to ascertain client needs, occupancy potential, pricing structures, etc. This candidate will be accountable for selling to all market sectors and must excel in prospecting for new clients, making cold calls, conducting site tours, and proficiently writing and negotiating contracts.
