Job Overview Life is always better at the track! WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead our regional and local sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology sales, business development, and sales management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively negotiate and build lasting relationships with clients while ensuring exceptional customer service. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for regional and local sales efforts for exhibitors, display, vendors, advertising, corporate hospitality, group ticket sales, raceway license (rentals), hospitality rentals, local sponsorships, and other areas of sales as needed on a case-by-case basis, including the generation of leads, closing of sales, and servicing sales. This position requires incoming and out-bound sales (cold calling). Responsibilities * Lead Generation : Identify and qualify potential clients through research, outreach, and follow-ups; Prospecting and closing new clients with a focus on local companies; Traveling to local events and trade shows for prospecting. * Customer Engagement: Build relationships with prospects and clients through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings. * Sales Support : Assist senior sales representatives or outside sales agencies with proposals, presentations, and follow-up communications; develop sales presentation materials when needed. * Event Support : work with customers, senior sales staff, and track operations team in a support role during major raceway events. * Product Knowledge: Learn and stay updated on WTRLS and LSRA offerings and services to effectively communicate their value to customers. * CRM Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system. * Market Research : Monitor industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth; Stay up to date on new offerings in the sports industry; Make suggestions on additional or different sales offering for customers. * Processing and Servicing : Process sales and ensure execution of such sales and the invoicing and collection of such sales. * Performance Tracking : Meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to long term goals. Experience * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; 3 - 5 years experience in sales, customer services or related role (entry level candidates are welcome); Regional travel required. * Strong background in sales management with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. * Experience in direct sales, inside sales, territory sales, or retail sales is highly desirable. * Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively. * Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships. * Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and make data-driven decisions. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. * Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays * Passion for motorsports and a commitment to Friends of Laguna Seca's mission and values * Wicked sense of humor Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Company car * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Compensation Package: * Commission pay Schedule: * Day shift * Evenings as needed * Holidays * Weekends as needed Ability to Commute: * Salinas, CA 93908 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Salinas, CA 93908: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
