Join the team at Spokane's only independent toy store! Since 1988, Whiz Kids has been serving up toys to generations of families. RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE Responsibilities: * Meets company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge to the customer; recommends merchandise selections or helps to locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires. * Greets all guests in a warm and welcoming manner. * Assists Guests in finding solutions that best meet their needs. * Consistently treats all Guests and co-workers with respect and contributes to a positive work environment. * Takes a proactive role in maintaining guest engagement, visual merchandising, and housekeeping. * Performs cash wrap and POS duties in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining a high level of Guest Service. * Participates in the processing of shipments, replenishment of the sales floor, and additional operational tasks based on the needs of the business. * Promotes and maintains a clean & safe working and shopping environment. * Retail/Service experience preferred and ability to demonstrate strong Guest-focused engagement on and off the sales floor. * Demonstrated success working as a member of a team. * Ability to receive feedback and take appropriate corrective actions when necessary. * Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company dress code. * Consistently communicates with managers and leads, and notifies when supplies or other necessities are needed, such as change, receipt paper, shopping bags or housekeeping supplies. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Available to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business. * Job may require lifting boxes that weigh up to 45 lbs. and climbing a ladder. * Must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the United States. * Previous experience in specialty retail or service industry preferred. Other experience may be considered.
