Full description of the position
Professional Summary: A results-driven and relationship-focused professional responsible for expanding referral networks and increasing admissions to residential substance use treatment programs within an assigned region. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral sources while promoting program awareness and driving admissions to our residential treatment facility. This position requires 75% travel. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of behavioral health and addiction treatment services while promoting program awareness and driving admissions to our residential treatment facility and brings a proven ability to generate high-quality referrals and foster long-term relationships. Key Responsibilities: Regional Business Development Specialist - Substance Use Residential * Develop and implement a strategic outreach plan to generate referrals and increase admissions to the facility. * Identify and cultivate relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, behavioral health providers, community organizations, social workers, and criminal justice professionals. * Conduct presentations and educational sessions on addiction treatment services for potential referral partners and community stakeholders. * Track and analyze referral data to optimize outreach efforts and maximize growth. Community Engagement: * Act as the primary liaison between the treatment center and the community, establishing partnerships and strengthening existing relationships. * Attend networking events, conferences, and community meetings to increase brand awareness and referral opportunities. * Represent the facility at health fairs, workshops, and public forums to educate individuals and professionals on substance abuse treatment options. * Coordinate and host facility tours for referral sources and community partners. * Travel 75% in the state of VA Admissions Support: * Work closely with the admissions and clinical teams to ensure a seamless transition for new clients entering treatment. * Provide potential clients and their families with information about treatment programs, financing options, and the admissions process. * Follow up with referral sources to ensure continued engagement and client success post-treatment. Compliance & Documentation: * Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, referral sources, and business development efforts. * Ensure all outreach efforts align with ethical standards and regulatory requirements. * Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to develop promotional materials and outreach strategies. Other Job Duties as Required Required Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred. * Experience: 2+ years of community outreach or business development within a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment setting. * Strong knowledge of addiction treatment programs and the recovery process. * Excellent networking, relationship-building, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. * Proven track record of meeting sales/admissions goals. * Comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations. * Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for community events * Valid driver's license and is able to travel within the community. * Travel 75% in the state of VA. .
