Full description of the position

We are looking for a driven and proactive Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day client relationships, foster strong connections with key stakeholders, and advocate for internal processes to ensure client success and satisfaction. As an Account Manager, your primary focus will be on delivering value through providing recommendations, introducing new services and features, and addressing the unique business needs of each client. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure clear and timely communication, assess client needs, and proactively resolve any challenges. Your efforts will play a key role in driving client retention, enhancing satisfaction, and uncovering opportunities for organic growth. Responsibilities: * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal leadership, managing communication, expectations, and project status using tools, templates, and regular meetings. * Coordinate and lead client meetings, ensuring key internal team members are involved, and proactively managing scope changes to align with client needs, goals, and budgets. * Take detailed notes during client meetings, documenting action items and delivering them within 24 hours to ensure timely follow-up. * Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a strategic partner to understand business goals and drive client satisfaction, retention, and organic growth. * Forecast and track key account metrics, preparing regular reports on account status for leadership and identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities (e.g., SEO, PPC, content creation). * Collaborate with internal teams, including Project Management (PM), Strategy, Digital Marketing, and Engineering, to ensure alignment on project deliverables and client needs. * Ensure projects stay within scope, providing CMS training or demos when applicable and overseeing quality assurance before final delivery to clients. * Contribute to business growth by participating in new business pitches, growing accounts year after year, and expanding the agency's reach within each account. * Take on PM responsibilities in their absence and facilitate meetings to develop project plans and manage retainer backlogs. * Remain current on relevant training and certifications, ensuring continuous personal and professional growth. Qualifications: * BS/BA in marketing, business management, communications or related field or equivalent experience. * Minimum 5 years of experience in account management or account servicing position, ideally in an agency or digital environment. * Basic understanding of web technologies, website development and/or CMS is a plus. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. Know how to build a client presentation and have confidence presenting it. * Comfort with a face-paced environment and managing multiple work streams. * Comfortable working with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization (internally and externally), including executive and C-level. * Strong understanding of common business challenges. * Ability to travel 5-10% to client sites for meetings is required. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: * Ability to work a hybrid schedule in office at least three days per week and remote two days per week. * Must be able to remain in sedentary position for prolonged periods of time. * Repetition of fine motor skills using wrists, hands, and fingers is required. * Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment. * Occasionally required to stoop, bend, crouch, reach, push or pull, and lift up to 10 pounds.
