The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. What you have Highschool diploma or Associate Degree and 2 - 3 years of relevant experience Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Word and Excel programs Ability to work in an organized, effective, and efficient way Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to use technology, e.g., computers, iPads, tablets Experience working collaboratively across different teams within an organization Proven ability to multitask, and able to react and handle any last minute needs or situations A sense of ownership in everything that you do What you'll do Process contracts, proposals, and general correspondence for sales and catering staff as needed Process, coordinate, and distribute event orders, banquet checks, revisions, guarantees, event reports, group resumes, and Daily Event Sheets, for the Events Team Monitor phones for sales and catering staff. Qualify incoming inquiry calls and ensure that they are dealt with accurately, timely, and in a professional manner Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate.
