Full description of the position

JOB SUMMARY: Software Guidance and Assistance (SGA, Inc), a leader in the IT staffing industry for over forty years, is seeking a seasoned Salesperson with experience selling technology projects and managed services (primarily software development, integration and maintenance), to medium size and large companies, enterprises. The ideal candidate brings broad knowledge of enterprise technology and relevant skillsets, market trends (for example, cloud transition) and industry-specific details. Frequent travel to clients may be required. The Salesperson uses SGA's strategy, project- and service capabilities to land new deals, renew and expand existing ones, and grow the revenue of the Professional Services line of business. The Salesperson is responsible for overseeing the entire life cycle of business. They will adhere to SGA's processes and may share their experience with other Salespersons aspiring to sharpen their Professional Services selling skills. This is a key role directly tied to SGA's sales performance and initiatives that maximize growth and performance of sales staff and our client base. The role is supported by the technology managers and experts of SGA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Increases the Professional Services revenue year over year. * Translates business objectives into specific goals. Defines a clear and compelling annual plan. * Drives a culture of strong execution, orientation towards developing new customer accounts. * Identifies and wins new opportunities. Ensures high contract retention / renewal rates and expands existing ones. * Prepares for and actively participates in regular planning meetings and business reviews. * Works with the Director of Professional Services on RFP responses, SOWs, on upselling, renewing and extending contracts. * Follows SGA best practices keeping the records of contacts, sales tracking and other relevant systems updated. * Shares experience, techniques with others in the sales team, to maximize revenue generation. SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES * None QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the job at a fully acceptable level. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS * 10+ years of experience in IT recruiting * College degree in a related field * Significant people management experience of comparable sized teams * Experience with Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, Teams, One Drive * LinkedIn and LinkedIn Recruiter expertise * Proven track record of leading by example and developing people * Customer service or related job experience * Computer skills, including but not limited to, email, basic office productivity software, and internet-based applications. * Knowledge of the IT field and technologies. COMMUNICATION SKILLS * Top notch communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and calmly with team members, management, candidates, consultants, and clients. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries.
