Sales Responsibilities Include: * Must have experience and knowledge in manufacturing sales in manufacturing and machining. * Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business for the organization's products/services. * Enthusiastic and driven to find and nurture new client relationships. * Make telephone calls and presentations to prospective customers. * Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential. * Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers. * Target Market: Expanding into more production machining for different industries, including: Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Semiconductor, and other markets Purchasing Responsibilities Include: * Obtain quotations and process orders to procure mechanical components. * Select vendors and write purchase orders * Negotiate pricing both on a case-by-case basis and through long-term agreements * Ensure that all orders are delivered on time and expedited as needed * Notify management of significant deviation from projected cost or delivery * Assist in the development and maintenance of consistent purchasing department practices. Qualifications: * Must have experience and knowledge in manufacturing sales in manufacturing and machining. * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and material requirements. * Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software. * Basic understanding of manufacturing and machining processes Desired Characteristics: * Driven and ambitious personality * Dependable and conscientious with a high standard of quality * Strong attention to detail * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent organizational skills Summary As a Sales & Purchasing Agent in Manufacturing, you will be instrumental in driving procurement and sourcing strategies to optimize our supply chain operations.
