The Account Manager is responsible for managing customer accounts and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role supports existing business needs while identifying opportunities for growth and focuses on building strong relationships between internal teams and customers to ensure that needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Key Responsibilities (including but are not limited to): * Establish and maintain regular communication with customers to build strong, trusting relationships, gather feedback and understand their needs and objectives. * Proactively address customer issues and concerns by identifying and implementing timely, effective solutions. * Drive new business development by analyzing account potential, initiating and developing sales opportunities, closing deals and recommending new applications and/or sales strategies. * Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity and evolving market requirements. * Complete Personal Growth Plans and performance reviews to support professional development and alignment with company goals. * Monitor individual performance against established targets and take corrective action as needed. * Collaborate with the engineering project team to ensure OEM customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded, while maintaining compliance with customer policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. * Prepare and maintain reports on account performance, track key metrics and identify areas for improvement. * Negotiate contracts, agreements and renewals with customers. Preferred Qualifications: * Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and listening). * Self-motivated with a proactive, results-driven approach. * Creative problem-solving and strong analytical skills. * Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and implement effective solutions. * Background in hydraulics or fluid power industry. * Experience with new product launches, especially within distributor and OEM customer segments. * Experience with cold calling and lead generation. * Demonstrated ability to think strategically and identify new business opportunities. * Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. * High attention to detail regarding customer accounts. * Ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner. * ISO system knowledge and hands-on application experience. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or a related field. * At least 3 years of experience in a similar account management or sales role. * Experience working directly with OEM customers in a technical capacity. * Familiarity with ISO standards and quality system requirements. * Experience in a regulated industry. * Proficiency with customer activity reporting software. * Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
