Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager Remote (Atlanta, GA) based candidates only, preferably near a major transportation hub) Our Team: Bilfinger is a leading industrial services provider for the process industry. We enhance the efficiency of assets, ensuring a high level of availability and reducing maintenance costs for our clients across the chemical & petrochemical, oil & gas, pulp & paper, food & beverage, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals & biopharma markets. We are aggressively growing our US business and are seeking to add senior business development managers to our team to focus on new client acquisition. Overview: We are seeking Senior Business Development Managers to help grow our US business in multiple markets: * Refining, Chemical & Petrochemical * Offshore (Gulf of America) * Pulp & Paper * Food & Beverage * Manufacturing * Life Sciences (Pharma/BioPharma) This is a true new business development (hunter) role and the candidate must have a strong background and network of key decision makers in their industry. The Role: You will be responsible for identifying and leading the pursuit of new business opportunities with large, multi-site clients, consistent with the organization's long range and strategic plans. Major focus will be securing new long term contracts for embedded services. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how to lead and navigate the entire sales process from prospecting to close. Duties and Responsibilities: * Performs market research and analysis on relevant service line business potential * Supports the marketing lead with development of client specific annual event planning, including priority industry networking/conference events * Assists with the business development and marketing planning to align with the annual budget, ensuring plans are in place to meet operational goals * Leads the Salesforce related functions relating to entering their individual sales leads and produces sales reports into company booking software (Salesforce) * Research and reports on industry, competitors, and client data. * Facilitates the development of presentations and other marketing material for target customers and leads the process to deliver the key value-proposition points * Supports the proposal and operations team in developing proposals, qualifications, or other requests specific to their targeted client base * Collaborates with other departments and global networking groups as appropriate to help differentiate Bilfinger and develop strategic perspective on new markets or technologies * Assists management with ad-hoc requests, including special projects and initiatives. * Assists with preparation of management reports * Observes and complies with all safety rules * Performs other related duties as required and assigned Requirements: Strong base of customer relationships in their industry. * Minimum 10 years' experience, with emphasis on maintenance, mechanical, construction, and ISP (Insulations, Scaffolding, & Painting) services. * A minimum of 7-10 years' experience with long-term service agreements, contracts negotiation, and management. * Must possess proven leadership skills. * Willingness to work both independently and as a team to meet quick deadlines and objectives. * Must be able to travel routinely via airplane and/or vehicle and often times for consecutive days. * Required to lead the process of developing customer presentations and develop the value-added proposition to effectively pursue RFP/RFQ to award. Technical Knowledge and Skills: * Working knowledge of construction and maintenance services for industrial facilities * Demonstrated skill in the development of business proposals. * Working knowledge of various contract and commercial proposal structures. * Demonstrated ability to negotiate with customers. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point * Working experience using Salesforce preferred. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related industrial field; or a combination of education and industry equivalent experience. Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required. Self-starter, strong interpersonal communication skills with all levels of colleagues, comfortable working with executive management.
