Full description of the position

A growing precision machining and manufacturing company is looking for a high- energy, Inside Sales Representative who delivers sales results, and provides top level service to its customers. You have a record of performance, and you have a trail of deals to prove it. You'll have a strong knowledge of metals and value-add processes, to be able to estimate and provide quotes, quickly to customers. The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability - with or without reasonable accommodation - to perform the following duties but not limited to: * Provides Customer Service support by processing quotes for orders and jobs to customers in a timely manner. * Sources vendors for outside processing requirements on parts and purchases required material. * Provides Customer Service support by accepting orders and jobs, reviewing information for correctness, correctly entering orders, RMAs and other data into the ERP system, verifying confirmation from Production Control and/or Engineering for delivery to ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner. * Provides customer support by returning customer calls, emails and checking status/completion for specific customers, and communicating with other departments to check for issues and confirm customer calls to ensure customer needs are met. * Provides clerical support by entering orders and processing all paperwork to the system, creating job travelers as required. * Schedules and performs outbound calls to current, dormant and potential customers to build trust and rapport; discovers new selling opportunities, checks status, handles any problems or issues and develops referrals to new potential customers. * Performs other related duties as assigned by management. To accomplish these tasks, you must possess the following qualifications: * Relentless, action-oriented focus on moving into, up, down, and through accounts * 3+ years of proven sales experience (with revenue generation) in related industries * Connected* _- Existing customer relationships_* __ in any of the previously mentioned industry segments * Practical - Demonstration of selling techniques and presentation skills, as well as successful completion of interview and background check Success traits for our culture and goals: * Hands-on - Do-what-it-takes experience in a machining and manufacturing environment; experience as a machinist, application engineer, tooling sales person, or similar role would enhance your ability to win relationships * Collaborative - Organized and dedicated to coordinating sales approaches with our team * Competent - Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings, plus understanding their geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, knowledge of materials and machining processes, and knowledge of assembly and fabrication would be very useful. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Pay for Performance: 2+ years on an incentive compensation system "in the money" on commissions and/or bonuses. Education: Four year degree in business or engineering or equivalent world experience (preferable) Experience: Proficient knowledge of properties and typical applications for metal alloys including: aluminum, stainless, alloy, carbon and tool steel, and titanium. Three to five years in manufacturing environments.
