Job Summary: Hughes Lumber Company is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Outside Sales and Customer Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers, generating new sales opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the lumber and building materials industry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and other key customers to drive sales and customer satisfaction. * Proactively seek out new business opportunities and follow up on leads. * Provide product recommendations, pricing information, and availability to customers. * Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. * Assist customers with inquiries, quotes, and order tracking. * Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor offerings. * Resolve customer concerns in a professional and efficient manner. * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity. * Represent Hughes Lumber Company professionally in all customer interactions. Qualifications: * Previous experience in outside sales, customer service, or a related role, preferably in the lumber or building materials industry. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and industry professionals. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn industry-specific software. * Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
