Summary Exciting things are happening at Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation and our Sellersburg, IN plant has a unique opportunity for you to join the team and be a part of our success! A Production Supervisor at MSMC works closely with the Production Manager and is responsible for the coordination of production activities and team members. The Production Supervisor assists in the development of the production schedule and coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials to accomplish production goals. The finished product is quality metal roofing and wall panels sold to our valued customers. Regular hours for this position are 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. Overtime including weekends may be necessary during peak season. Let us tell you about the responsibilities and expectations of this role to ensure we are the right fit for each other. * You 'll be responsible for (but not limited to): * Preparing, reviewing, and distributing production work and shipment schedules and ensuring production is completed * Conferring with operation personnel to determine progress of work and completion dates * Ensuring cleanliness and maintaining a safe work environment within assigned area of responsibility * Problem solving customer issues * Developing corrective actions for customer issues or to initiate continuous improvement * Compiling reports of progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems * Completing performance review, approving time cards and other supervisory functions * The most qualified candidates will have: * At least 3 years' supervisory experience of production personnel, preferably in a roll forming or other metal forming environment * Experience with shop scheduling, inventory control, applying quality assurance techniques, and enforcing safe working procedures * Must be able to clearly communicate (both verbally and in writing) in English, Spanish is a plus * Associate's Degree or higher preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required * Work Environment: The work environment is generally described as a manufacturing area where you are exposed to operating machinery, noise, and production byproducts. Must be able to walk, climb, and lift objects up to 75 pounds. Must be able to handle stressful situations and multi-task.
