Full description of the position

Market Manager - Healthcare Staffing QS Nurses (an Openwork company) | Houston, TX Location: In-office, Houston-based Are you a driven sales leader with a passion for building teams and growing business? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can wear many hats and make a big impact? If so, QS Nurses--a division of Openwork--is looking for you. We're seeking a Market Manager to lead and expand our Texas healthcare staffing operations, with a primary focus on growing the Houston market. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you'll be responsible for both business development and operational leadership, helping us grow not just in Houston, but across Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio as well. What You'll Do: * Own and grow the Houston market--selling to new clients, expanding existing accounts, and driving GP$ through proactive sales and relationship management. * Lead your local branch team, balancing ~70-80% sales activity with ~20-30% operational leadership. * Create and execute a smart, data-driven territory plan that identifies key prospects, competitors, and influencers. * Drive pipeline growth--from cold outreach to closed deals--while ensuring top-tier service delivery to current accounts. * Oversee the full staffing lifecycle, partnering with the recruitment team to ensure we're hiring, onboarding, and placing qualified healthcare professionals efficiently. * Develop meaningful client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor beyond the day-to-day contact. * Manage market financials, including collections and aging, ensuring all client accounts stay within company standards. * Hire, train, and mentor your team, cultivating a strong internal bench and promoting from within. * Champion our company culture--leading with enthusiasm, integrity, and a people-first mindset. What We're Looking For: * Healthcare staffing experience is a huge plus, but at minimum, we need someone with staffing agency experience and a proven track record in sales leadership. * You're a confident closer who can sell, grow, and retain business, especially in a competitive market like Houston. * Strong operational chops--you can manage team performance, handle day-to-day branch logistics, and keep everything running smoothly. * A natural leader and motivator who can coach a team to exceed goals while building a positive, engaging workplace. * Comfortable being in the office daily and occasionally rolling up your sleeves for on-call needs. Why Join QS Nurses? As part of Openwork, one of the fastest-growing and most awarded staffing firms in the U.S., QS Nurses brings a people-first approach to healthcare staffing. You'll be supported by a passionate team, a strong brand, and a culture that values curiosity, hustle, and heart. We're not just here to fill shifts--we're here to build careers, companies, and communities. If you're ready to grow something meaningful in Texas, we'd love to talk.
