Overview: CIMTEC is seeking a talented Senior Sales Engineer with a unique blend of technical expertise and account management skills to join our team. In this role, you will service industrial customers who have automation projects, and componentry needs. Servicing the account from concept to implementation while also serving their general account needs in the areas of automation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, interact with clients, and drive business growth while enjoying access to technology applied to automotive, packaging, material handling & logistics, robotics, and commercial equipment in the Charlotte, NC area. Qualifications/ Requirements This position is accountable for the promotion and sale of a broad range of technical products/solutions/services under the direction of the VP of Sales and Engineering * Development and implementation of automation solution opportunities for industrial and commercial projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices. * Serve as the primary technical contact for key client accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships through regular communication and addressing client needs. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. * Build and maintain relationships with CIMTEC suppliers and partners to include 3rd party integration partners. * Develop project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines, and present technical solutions to clients. * Oversee project execution, including resource allocation, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints. * Provide technical expertise and support during the installation, commissioning, and startup phases of automation systems in conjunction with our engineering team. * Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all CIMTEC Product Lines and Services; including but not limited to FESTO, SICK, Universal Robots, Epson Robots, Emerson Automation and LMI * Develop forecasts and execute upon sales plans to achieve company and individual goals. * Manage and maintain excellent relationships and identify, develop and close new business opportunities with new and existing customers. * Maintain accurate account records within Salesforce (CIMTEC CRM) * Experience selling Technical Automation Products in a Manufacturing Environment * Bachelors degree in engineering or related field experience. * Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on industrial automation, vision, robotics, and control systems. * Strong technical proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, DCS systems, and industrial communication protocols. * DCS hands on configuration (We could require strong experience with either industrial robotics, vision, or controls related to CIMTEC suppliers mentioned above). * Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering successful projects on time and within budget. * Professional certifications such as ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are desirable. cimtec #FCG-L #manycompaniesoneteam #flowcontrolgroup #LI-DC CIMTEC Automation operates as a vital subsidiary within Flow Control Group (FCG), a prominent holdings company that is a leading solutions provider focused on technically oriented products and services for flow control, fluid handling and process, industrial automation, and life sciences with locations throughout North America.
