This role is essential in promoting and managing sports programs and membership services, ensuring a positive experience for all participants and members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community engagement and a commitment to fostering a healthy and active lifestyle. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop, implement, and oversee sports programs for various age groups and skill levels. * Coordinate membership services, including enrollment, retention, and member engagement initiatives. * Collaborate with staff and volunteers to organize sports events, leagues, and tournaments. * Maintain accurate records of program participation and membership statistics. * Provide exceptional customer service to members and participants, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. * Promote sports programs and membership opportunities through marketing and outreach efforts. * Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all sports activities. * Assist in training and supervising program staff and volunteers. (Training provided by the Y, if needed) * High school diploma or equivalent. * One or more years' experience in sales or service-oriented business. * Must have experience in various YMCA programs or other programs similar to those the YMCA offers. * Must be in good physical working condition and able to perform the functions of the job. * Effective communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills, multi-task oriented, knowledge in hiring, customer service, sales, marketing, retention, computer skills and human relations. * Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
