Job Summary: As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at S3 Group Inc., you will be a crucial first point of contact in our sales process. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively identify, engage, and qualify potential clients within the logistics and supply chain industry who could benefit from our consulting services and expertise in WMS and related solutions. Through strategic outreach via calls and emails, you will educate prospects on the value S3 Group brings and qualify their needs to generate qualified leads for our sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and results- oriented individual to contribute directly to the growth of a leading professional services firm in a dynamic market. Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough research to identify target companies and key decision-makers within the logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, e-commerce and retail sectors. * Utilize various tools and resources (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, online research) to build and maintain a targeted prospect list. * Understand industry trends, challenges, and opportunities within the supply chain landscape. Outbound Communication: * Execute a high volume of outbound calls and emails to engage potential prospects. * Craft compelling and personalized outreach messages that highlight S3 Group's value proposition and address specific prospect needs. * Deliver clear and concise information about S3 Group's services and expertise in WMS and supply chain solutions from partners like Infor, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, and Softeon. Lead Qualification: * Engage in meaningful conversations with prospects to understand their business challenges, current systems, and strategic objectives. * Effectively qualify leads based on predefined criteria, including need, budget, timeline, and authority (BANT or similar framework). * Identify and nurture early-stage opportunities. CRM Management: * Accurately and diligently record all activities, interactions, and lead qualifications in our CRM system (HubSpot]). * Maintain organized and up-to-date prospect records. Collaboration and Handoff: * Work closely with the sales team to effectively transition qualified leads and provide necessary background information. * Communicate feedback from prospect interactions to the marketing and sales teams to improve messaging and targeting. Meeting and Target Achievement: * Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified lead generation and meetings scheduled for the sales team. * Continuously strive to improve outreach techniques and strategies. Continuous Learning: * Stay up-to-date on S3 Group's service offerings, industry trends, and competitor activities. * Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance sales and communication skills. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Experience: * 1-3 years of experience in a business development, sales, or customer-facing role, preferably within the B2B technology, software, or consulting services industry. * Experience with outbound calling and email communication strategies. * Familiarity with CRM systems and sales engagement tools. Skills: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong active listening and interpersonal skills. * Proven ability to conduct effective outreach and build rapport with prospects. * Goal-oriented and results-driven with a strong work ethic. * Highly organized and detail-oriented. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Resilience and persistence in the face of rejection. * A basic understanding of the supply chain, logistics, or WMS industry is a plus. * Personal Attributes: * Enthusiastic and proactive. * Self-motivated and driven to succeed. * Professional and positive attitude. * Eager to learn and grow within a sales organization. Examples include: * Sales intelligence platforms with AI features: ZoomInfo with its "Intent Data" and "AI Insights," or Cognism with its AI-driven data enrichment and lead scoring. * AI-powered email writing assistants: Tools like Jasper (formerly Jarvis) or Copy.ai used to generate initial outreach email drafts or subject lines. * AI-driven social selling tools: Platforms that analyze social media activity to identify potential leads based on specific keywords or engagement. * AI-powered chatbots or virtual assistants: Experience with tools that can automate initial prospect engagement and information gathering on websites or through other channels. * AI tools for market research and analysis: Platforms that can identify emerging trends and potential target markets within the supply chain industry.
