Job Overview We are a reputable painting company based in Houston, TX. We are locally owned but backed by a national company, dedicated to delivering high-quality commercial and residential painting services, including interior and exterior painting, home repairs, and remodeling projects. We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in painting, home remodeling, and sales to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing painting projects, managing remodeling tasks, and driving sales to expand our client base. Key responsibilities include identifying potential clients and generating new business opportunities, providing detailed estimates and explaining project scopes to clients, and maintaining strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of project management methodologies. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are approached, negotiated, revised, and completed on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic goals. Job Responsibilities: As a Project Manager at That 1 Painter, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Primary Responsibilities: (These responsibilities apply on a daily basis, with a specific focus on the actions taken from the initial receipt of a customer lead through to the final payment after job completion. This includes all tasks involved in managing and executing the job, whether the customer is present or not, up until the job is officially closed.) * Estimating on-site with potential customers. * Estimating virtually with potential clients as needed. * Accurately estimating labor and materials on the quote and submitting the quote to the customer within 24 hours. * Scheduling approved estimates in accordance with GM guidance. * Collecting deposits before the start of each job. * Upselling clients on additional services. Such as pressure washing, landscaping, carpentry etc. * Communicating with customers concerning color and other basic preparations before the job starts. * Communicating with Project Managers as needed. Before and after the job starts, or throughout the process. * Ensure projects are kept on schedule and within budget while meeting client's needs and delivering a quality project. * Help problem-solve with crew leads if problems arise on any project. * Generate schedules and plans of operation for painting projects. * Upsell additional services to ongoing projects/customers. * Identify potential issues and ensure timely decisions are made. * Ensure a minimum 45% profit margin from each job is earned. Remember to maximize profits on all jobs while keeping in mind the customer's priorities. * Recruitment and management of painters and subcontractors. Secondary Responsibilities: (These responsibilities are required on a daily basis, but specifically pertain to actions taken outside of direct job execution such as handling estimations and following up on leads received by the company. They refer to the background activities aimed at maximizing the company's overall performance and growth.) * Pursue strategic relationships on behalf of That 1 Painter (realtors, property managers, etc.) * Network and promote That 1 Painter. * Following up with all quotes seven times within six months or until approved/rejected. * Attending and contributing to all staff meetings. * You must attend at least 2 Networking events per week. * Secure at least 2 Potential leads per day. * Develop a referral list of at least 100 companies working services that we cannot offer, this is intended for mutual benefit for both parties.
