Full description of the position
Territory Sales Manager The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding sales opportunities with both new and existing customers through phone, email, and in-person interactions. This role requires a proactive approach to building relationships, understanding customer needs, and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities: * Maintain regular contact with assigned accounts, engaging with them at least quarterly. * Identify customer needs and expand product offerings within accounts. * Conduct site evaluations to uncover opportunities, present solutions, and secure new business. * Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers, including purchasing, maintenance, and tool crib departments. * Actively follow up on market trends and customer-specific internet leads. * Identify new market opportunities and implement strategies for business growth. * Provide timely responses to RFQs and proposal requests. * Track and follow up on quotes, utilizing the sales process to close deals. * Leverage available resources to deliver exceptional customer service and tailored solutions. * Collaborate with service technicians at customer facilities to better understand needs and identify sales opportunities. * Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts while pursuing new business within the designated market. Qualifications & Requirements: * Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, or a related field with at least three (3) years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required) and Sage 100 ERP (preferred). * Strong time management and organizational skills. * Knowledge of the industry and market dynamics. * Proven customer service skills with a sales-driven mindset. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, and technical materials. * Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
