JOB SUMMARY: The Dallas Mavericks are a premier NBA franchise committed to delivering world-class entertainment and unforgettable experiences for our fans. Our Ticket Sales and Service team is dedicated to cultivating an electrifying atmosphere at the American Airlines Center, filled with energy, excitement, and passion. We are seeking a driven and dynamic individual to join our team and contribute to the legacy of maintaining the longest sellout streak in NBA history! The Account Executive position reports directly to the Director, New Season Sales. While the primary focus of this position is selling Dallas Mavericks Full Season Tickets and Partial Season Plans, we are a full menu sales department and you will be responsible for also selling group tickets, fan experiences, suites and other ticket products. Account Executives are responsible for seeking new business through cold-calling, networking, and personal prospecting. JOB FUNCTION: * Generate revenue from the result of cold calls, prospected leads (both inbound and outbound), strategically developed email communications, and in-person meetings. * Prospect, research, and qualify all potential sales opportunities within the Dallas-Fort Worth market. * Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing customers and build relationships with existing customers. * Provide professional and positively outrageous customer service to clients. * Occasionally, represent the organization at off-site Dallas Mavericks events promoting ticket sales. * Actively participate in team member sales training and development opportunities. * Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals. * Meet or exceed weekly and monthly call quotas. * Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. * Excellent customer service skills. * Commitment to personal integrity. * Having the ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and adhere to deadlines is a necessity. * Ability to work as a team player. * Ability to present sales material to potential clients. * The ability to learn and master new software programs including the CRM platform (Salesforce) and ticketing system (Ticketmaster Archtics) is essential. * Detail-oriented; ability to handle several projects at once. * Additional responsibilities as assigned by management. * Perform additional job-related duties as requested by management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * 2+ years of outstanding performance in a commission-based sales position with at least 1 year of sales experience with a professional or collegiate sports team preferred * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Sports Management, Business, Marketing or related field * Experience using Salesforce our CRM system for maintaining computerized touchpoints with clients and prospects * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software programs * Ability to home games including as assigned work evening, weekend, and holiday hours (as required by the NBA season) * Some travel required to visit prospects throughout Dallas and surrounding areas.
