FLOORING SHOWROOM SALES CONSULTANT A top Volusia County flooring retailer is expanding and seeking candidates for the position of full time or part time Flooring Sales Consultant. Most of the sales activity will take place in our beautiful showroom with customers from across the Volusia/Flagler area. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Consulting with customers through the design, selection and sales process over a wide array of flooring products and some additional products/services * Maintaining regular contact with customers and prospects from first meeting, through pricing, estimating, installation and after-sale care in order to build lasting, satisfied customers * Assisting in maintaining a clean, organized showroom environment Conducting in-home visits to customers in order to aid in selection, measurements and project requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS * Candidates must possess and exhibit the highest degree of emotional intelligence; being able to handle the ups and downs of sales, customer service and colleague interactions with great poise and composure. Professionalism is key and the most important part of our job qualifications * Prior building materials sales, flooring sales and/or sales in related fields is desired to understand the sales process, order process and customer service requirements * Design experience, Interior Design/Decor Background is also a strong fit for this position * Candidates will need to submit to a background check, credit check and criminal history check * It is critical that the candidate understand and be able to exhibit a "customer-first" mentality in all interactions (with customers, company staff, installers, etc) * Consultative approach to selling is important (care about customers, understand their objectives and match them with the products and services fitting needs and budget) COMPENSATION * Position pays a weekly draw or salary plus a commission on sales * There are currently no health benefits provided * Position provides one week of vacation after completion of 6 months of employment, two weeks of vacation starting in the second year of employment * Personal days, sick days and major vacation days are also provided Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $3,086.84 - $9,000.00 per month Schedule: * 4 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Day shift * No nights Supplemental Pay: * Commission pay * Uncapped commission Ability to commute/relocate: * Ormond Beach, FL 32174: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: * Design: 1 year (Required) * Flooring: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: * Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
