HVAC Account Manager Job Summary: The HVAC Account Manager is responsible for generating, managing, and renewing commercial HVAC Preventative Maintenance (PM) contracts and quoting HVAC installations and replacement equipment within the Commercial Service & Electrical Department. Key Responsibilities: Develop, sell, and renew commercial HVAC PM contracts, tailoring agreements to meet customer needs and department profitability goals. Generate accurate and competitive quotes for HVAC installations and replacement equipment, ensuring pricing supports profitability and customer satisfaction. Manage the execution of PM contracts, coordinating with Dispatch and the Field Supervisor to schedule preventative maintenance tasks and ensure timely, high- quality service delivery. Oversee project details for installations and replacements, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation, to ensure accuracy and profitability. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Communicate internally with the Service Manager to align PM contracts and projects with department strategies, with the Field Supervisor to coordinate technician assignments, and with the Parts & Install Coordinator to secure necessary equipment and parts. Communicate externally with clients to negotiate contract terms and project specifications, and with vendors to procure equipment and materials for installations and replacements. Monitor PM contract performance, tracking key metrics such as profitability, customer retention, and service delivery efficiency, and provide regular reports to the Service Manager. Ensure all contract and project documentation is accurate and compliant with department standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC sales, service, or project management, with a proven track record of managing commercial contracts or similar agreements. Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including maintenance requirements, installation processes, and replacement equipment specifications. Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close PM contracts and secure installation projects. Proficiency in project management, including budgeting, quoting, scheduling, and ensuring profitability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with relevant HVAC codes and standards (e.g., International Mechanical Code) and basic understanding of electrical integration with HVAC systems. Proficiency in using HVAC quoting software, contract management tools, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office). Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
