Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation and a strong understanding of construction practices. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This is the beginning of a local glass company, focused on residential glass, windows, showers and mirrors with occasional commercial repair. We are looking for someone to help with sales and job acquisition. In doing so, you will be eligible for high commissions and possibly ownership percentages. Duties * Install and replace glass in windows, doors, and other structures according to specifications. * Assemble and install frames for glass panels using appropriate tools and techniques. * Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project requirements. * Perform caulking to seal joints and prevent leaks. * Collaborate with other trades on construction sites, including drywall installation and cabinet installation. * Hang doors and assist with metal stud framing as needed. * Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites. * Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements * Proven experience in glass installation or related maintenance person work. * Strong knowledge of construction site practices and safety regulations. * Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately. * Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade. * Experience with drywall, cabinet installation, door hanging, and metal stud framing is a plus. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
