About Us Red Fan Communications is a strategic B2B communications and advisory firm supporting brands, executives, and marketing leaders across multiple technology sectors including fintech, insuretech, edtech, SaaS, supply chain, agritech, and first responder technology throughout the United States. We create and execute value-added communications strategies that enable sales, support business growth and go-to-market efforts, improve critical stakeholder relationships, and position brands and their executives as market leaders. Role Overview As Manager of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through prospecting, nurturing, and converting qualified leads into meetings, then actively collaborating in the proposal development process to secure 9-12 monthly retainer engagements. This role remains involved throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial outreach to signed contract, with direct accountability for meeting quarterly revenue targets of $55,000 in new retainer business. Key Responsibilities: * Generate and secure qualified meetings with decision-makers at potential B2B clients across our target sectors * Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to build a robust pipeline of opportunities * Actively participate in client meetings, proposal development, and scope of work creation * Drive the sales process from initial contact through to closed business * Maintain disciplined use of HubSpot CRM, ensuring accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting * Provide weekly reports on key performance metrics including outreach activity, meetings secured, and pipeline status * Collaborate closely with the head of Marketing and Demand Generation on targeted campaigns and collateral development * Build deep knowledge of our service offerings and client success stories to effectively communicate our value proposition * Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets of $55,000 in new retainer business Key Performance Indicators: * Number of qualified meetings secured per month * Conversion rate from meeting to proposal * Conversion rate from proposal to closed business * Total new revenue secured per quarter * Pipeline coverage ratio (minimum 3x quarterly target) Qualifications: * Proven track record of revenue generation in a business development or sales role * Experience with B2B sales cycles, particularly in professional services * Demonstrated ability to secure meetings with senior decision-makers * Experience developing proposals and scopes of work for professional services * Proficiency with HubSpot CRM or similar sales technology * Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills * Self-motivated with a genuine "fire in the belly" to exceed goals * Experience with or aptitude for quickly understanding technology sectors including fintech, insuretech, edtech, SaaS, supply chain, agritech, and first responder tech * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience What Sets You Apart: * History of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets * Ownership mentality - you see opportunities through from first contact to signed contract * Proven ability to manage a high volume of outreach while maintaining quality * Disciplined approach to sales process management and reporting * Strategic thinking combined with daily execution discipline * Ability to understand complex B2B marketing and PR needs * Exceptional relationship-building and networking skills If you're a motivated sales professional with a proven track record of revenue generation, a passion for driving business growth, and a collaborative approach to client acquisition, we want to hear from you.Red Fan Communications
