Full description of the position

Keller Warehousing & Co-Packing is now hiring for a 3PL Account & Business Development Manager! This role is responsible for identifying and developing a strong pipeline of new warehousing and co-packing clients within the food and beverage, dry goods, and general commodities industries, with a primary focus on the Texas market. Our corporate headquarters are located in Defiance, OH, with multiple warehouse and packaging facilities across the U.S. This position has been created due to company growth, and if you're eager to continue advancing your career, this role is an excellent opportunity. Job Overview: This person is responsible for identifying and developing a strong pipeline of new warehousing & value-add customers within the food & beverage, dry goods, and general commodities industries using a variety of business development techniques including direct or indirect contact and prospecting. Expectations include meeting and exceeding current customers' sales objectives, developing quoting proposals, RFPs, and scopes of work, collaborating with solutions design and operations on new projects, and prospecting, negotiating, and managing new customers along with cross-selling transportation services. Duties and Responsibilities: * Establish new accounts through extensive territory management, research, prospecting, and business relationships * Utilize strategic solution selling techniques aimed at increasing market share, ensuring revenue achievement, and customer satisfaction and retention. * Drive execution of opportunities by working with marketing, sales, and operations teams to implement business development initiatives and ensure customer operating standards are developed and implemented. * Build long-term, positive business partnerships by developing and nurturing relationships with existing and new customers to increase revenue and service offerings. * Compile accurate, complete, and detailed information to enable analysis and quoting proposals, RFP's, and RFQ's. * Anticipate/React to customer problems and complaints and resolve them to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. * Business travel is required to close business and manage customers, typically 30-40% or more if requested by leadership. * Utilize existing systems to track, analyze, and inform the team of all the opportunities and prospects. * Look for opportunities to cross-sell all services provided by the company. * Represent Keller Warehousing & Co-Packing at industry trade shows by attending and/or exhibiting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed: * High bias for action, self-motivated. * Strong negotiation skills, understanding of the art of the sale * Operations experience on a 3PL or shipper side a plus * Ability to clearly articulate the value of new business opportunities to engage internal colleagues, and secure resources necessary to capitalize on new opportunities. * Experience with Solution Selling of logistics services, warehousing, and transportation industry with proven success for developing and growing business * Good working knowledge of common warehouse management practices. * Skilled in the use of Office products with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Experience with CRM systems, HubSpot a plus * Ability to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements. * Ability to develop, plan, and execute short and long-range goals. Working Conditions: Work is office-related but could involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Special Requirements: * 7-10 years of solution selling experience in the warehouse, fulfillment, and/or packaging industry. * Prior experience developing business/selling at a 3PL required: pallet in/out and case picking operations, vendor managed inventory, eCommerce fulfillment, intermodal, drayage, NVOCC, freight forwarding, and manufacturing support. in the food and beverage, dry goods, and general commodity industries. * Operations experience on a 3PL or shipper side, a plus. * Experience with CRM systems; HubSpot is a plus. * Experience with Solution Selling of logistics services, warehousing, and transportation industry with proven success for developing and growing business. * Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Business travel is required to close business and manage customers, typically 30-40% or more if requested by leadership.
