Full description of the position

Job Summary: Sell all EIP products in assigned territory. Drive sales opportunities for new products, find and develop new customers. Primary Responsibilities: * Develop and implement sales strategies in the assigned territory to meet or exceed quota. * Utilize face-to-face sales calls, phone and written communications to develop customer relationships and close on sales. * Generate and develop sales leads. * Prepare formal responses to Requests for Quotes/Proposals that secure business at defined target margins. * Work with Engineering and Quality Teams as necessary to ensure proper certifications and documentation are available as needed to complete the sale * Develop and maintain a pipeline of future business * Work with EIP engineers to develop new products and capabilities as needed to support goals * Prepare periodic reports on customer development, quotations, order and sales activity. * Assist in the preparation of sales budgets * Represent AME EIP at industry trade shows * Other duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills Requirements * A Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering discipline preferred. * 5-years of experience in an industrial business-to-business environment selling electro-mechanical products * Ability to comprehend technical specifications of EIP products. * Proficiency in the personal selling process, especially overcoming objections and closing on the sale. * Practice a professional approach to written and verbal communications. * Highly developed personal organization and time management skills; self-motivated. * Ability to: * Motivate colleagues to work within tight timeframes. * Simultaneously manage several projects in support of customer and business needs * Work under pressure in an environment of changing priorities. * Deal with conflict in a professional and constructive manner. * Participate in and facilitate group meetings. * Intermediate to advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a web-based CRM system (Salesforce). Possess basic skills in the use of an ERP system. * The position requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule with travel within the defined territory up to 30% of time.
