Job Purpose: The Sales Analyst for Lionel will be responsible for supporting the sales team by providing comprehensive analysis, insights, and recommendations to inform strategic decisions. In this role, you will work closely with key retail partners including Walmart, Target, Amazon and Regional Mass Partners and internal teams to ensure alignment in sales objectives, track performance, and identify growth opportunities. Your work will have a direct impact on maximizing sales, improving business operations, and maintaining strong relationships with major customers. Responsibilities: Sales Analytics & Reporting: * Provide comprehensive analysis of Point of Sale (POS), inventory, and shipment sales data to support business decision-making and strategy development. * Analyze consumer trends, sales data, and category performance to create actionable insights for the Sales and Marketing teams. * Use tools such as Amazon Vendor Central, Walmart Retail Link, Scintilla Charter Academy, Target POL (Greenfield), Meijer VendorNet (Ad Hoc) to provide insights on category performance and retail trends. * Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports that track key metrics, business health, and performance against goals. * Provide lift and ROI analysis on promotional and sales activities, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. * Track the progress of key initiatives, publishing results to both internal teams and retail customers. Sales Support & Collaboration: * Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop customer presentations, sales decks, and reports that showcase key business insights and product offerings. * Assist with line reviews, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and customer meetings by preparing and presenting relevant data and insights. * Manage the new item setup process with retailers, ensuring proper data synchronization and alignment with retailer systems (e.g., 1WorldSync, Supplier One, Maintenance Form, Target POL, and Meijer Vendor Net). * Work closely with internal teams (e.g., logistics, production) to monitor order fulfillment and stock availability, ensuring customer needs are met. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, understanding their needs and ensuring they are supported with relevant sales data and insights. Retailer Management & Sales Planning: * Work with retail partners (e.g., Walmart, Target, Meijer and Amazon) to align on sales forecasts and ensure accurate product availability and inventory flow. * Monitor retailer-specific sales performance and identify trends or issues that may impact sales objectives. * Collaborate with internal teams and customers to adjust forecasts and manage product flow to meet retailer demand. * Track and report progress on key initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and demand commitments. Operational & Compliance Support: * Assist with the operational side of sales planning, including ensuring adherence to retailer compliance standards, order processing, and shipment tracking. * Follow retailer-specific guidelines, such as Walmart's In-stock compliance and modular standards, and work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with those standards. * Process orders internally, manage inventory allocation, and support modifications to orders as needed (e.g., Walmart NOVA app). * Conduct quarterly wave recaps and assist with royalty reporting for product lines. Qualifications: Education: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field. Experience: * 3-5 years of relevant experience in CPG, retail analytics, or sales operations, including experience in Sales Analytics, Category Management, and/or Trade Marketing. * Experience with major retailer systems such as Walmart Retail Link, Target PCN, and Meijer Vendor Net is preferred. * Experience with like Amazon Vendor Central, Walmart Retail Link, Target POL, Meijer Vendor Net, SPS, and other analytics platforms is a plus. Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and PowerPoint; familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is beneficial. * Ability to work with large datasets and transform them into actionable insights. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and opportunities. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data in a clear and engaging manner. * Detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
