Full description of the position

Summary/Objective Landmark Plastic Corporation, a leading manufacturer and marketer of thermoformed and injection molded horticultural products, is currently recruiting for an experienced Regional Sales Manager. This position will develop new business and enhance existing relationships in greenhouse and nursery operations, and retail and distribution businesses supporting our horticulture packaging throughout the North American market. Essential Job Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: * Establish relationships with current and new customers, to maximize growth opportunities. * Understand the customer's business, develop strategies and business plans to implement and deliver budgeted sales targets. * Forecast and budget sales and expenses for existing accounts as well as new customers. * Plan and implement appropriate customer specific marketing strategies. * Assess the performance of sales channels and make changes or additions as appropriate to profitably grow revenues. * Meet with key customers in order to maintain relationships, negotiate, and close new sales. * Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote Landmark products. * Monitor and evaluate competitive products and market activities. Core Job Competencies Required: * Professional verbal and written communication skills. * Possesses and effectively uses a broad base of business acumen as well as planning and analytical skills to identify and interpret business and market conditions. * Organized, self-motivated and dedicated team player. * Effective presentation and negotiation skills. * Results oriented individual. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree * Ability to travel, extensively if needed, including overnight stays. * Open to relocation for territory opportunities. * 5+ years outside sales experience, preferably in B2B and manufacturing channels. * Previous experience/exposure to horticultural industry preferred. * Proficient in PC usage. Sales Manager Education and Training A bachelor's degree in business or related field. Big box and regional store experience helpful. Supervisory Responsibility: None currently. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be subject to mfg. shop floor conditions, outdoor conditions, or office environments. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a salary full-time position. After hours and weekend hours may be required to meet the sales goals, quotas and metrics as provided. Growth/Succession: This position may lead to future career roles. There are multiple paths for career advancement, including promotions to National Account Manager or Vice President/Sales and Marketing.
