Full description of the position
Overview We are seeking a technical sales engineer to serve as a Territory Manager to oversee and expand our business within MN, IL, and WI (midwest). The ideal candidate would have an engineering degree and love to sell. You must be located in the territory and report back to HQ. You will be responsible for understanding our equipment and demoing it onsite with our local sales partners. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, driving sales initiatives, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage territory sales while identifying new opportunities for growth. Duties * Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives within the assigned territory. * Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to potential clients in coordination with a local rep firm. * Generate leads through various channels, including networking, tradeshows, referrals, and market research. * Engage in direct sales activities to promote our products and services to B2B clients. * Upsell existing customers on additional products or services that meet their needs. * Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. * Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional materials tailored to the target market. * Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using ERP software. Skills * Proven experience in territory sales, preferably in technical industrial equipment. * Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and lead generation techniques. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients. * Ability to conduct engaging product demos that effectively highlight product advantages. * Experience in direct sales and upselling strategies that drive revenue growth. * Proficient in using CRM tools for tracking sales progress and managing customer relationships.
