Position Summary A Landscape Sales & Designer at Grunder Landscaping Co. (GLC) is responsible for designing and selling both residential and commercial landscape and hardscape projects. The designer performs all phases of the sales/design process, including, but not limited to: performing prospect call screenings, conducting client meetings, preparing cost estimates, developing proposals, and presenting project designs to prospects and clients. The Landscape Sales & Designer is also responsible for maintaining and building positive relationships with clients and prospects, networking in the community, and contributing to the growth of the department. This position reports to the Director of Sales Operations and potentially could supervise other team members. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field, or an equivalent amount of horticultural knowledge and landscape design experience Previous experience in landscape and hardscape design, sales or installation for residential and commercial clients Previous experience with cost estimating and proposal writing. Solid understanding of landscape plant material for the Ohio region and proper planting techniques Understanding of horticultural practices related to plant materials and basic understanding of low voltage lighting, water features, and irrigation systems Ability to read and understand blueprints Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD programs.
