About Looseleaf International LooseLeaf International is a fast-growing startup in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, specializing in premium smoking products distributed to smoke shops and retail chains across the country. Position Summary We're seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager (West) with deep industry knowledge of the tobacco or CPG sector. This role is responsible for leading sales growth across the Western U.S., developing regional sales strategies, and expanding retail and wholesale partnerships. A strong understanding of distributor and retail customer management, market development, and regulatory compliance is essential. * Travel & Territory This is a remote position based in the Western United States. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for all distribution and retail accounts throughout the region. * Primary travel mode: Commercial flights * Estimated vehicle mileage: 10,000-20,000 miles annually * Travel requirements: Will vary based on business needs and may exceed 25%, depending on territory coverage, account support, and market events * Mileage reimbursement is provided at the current IRS rate; all travel-related expenses will be covered per company policy * Key Responsibilities * Sales Strategy & Market Expansion * Develop and execute region-specific sales plans and promotional strategies aligned with company goals. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities with distributors, wholesale (cash & carry) stores, and retail chains. * Conduct competitive analysis to track industry trends, market behavior, and competitor activity. Team Leadership * Monitor individual and team performance, providing ongoing training and mentorship. Account Management * Build strong relationships with key accounts, wholesalers, and retail partners. * Negotiate and close deals while ensuring profitability and long-term value. * Manage pricing, volume, and merchandising execution with a high attention to detail. Customer Relationship Management * Maintain exceptional service standards for key accounts. * Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and collaboratively. * Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-promotion of new or seasonal products. Regulatory Compliance * Ensure that all sales activities are compliant with state and federal tobacco laws and company policy. * Educate and train the team on responsible marketing and selling practices in a regulated industry. Reporting & Forecasting * Prepare and present monthly sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to leadership. * Track sales performance by account and region; manage budgets and operational costs effectively. Qualifications & Experience Education: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted). Experience: * 5+ years in sales within the CPG or tobacco industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. * Proven success in managing cash & carry wholesale stores and retail chain accounts. * Experience in sales within regulated industries is strongly preferred.
